Exactly one year, two weeks and two days after the final fall of Lord Voldemort, the wizarding world finds itself in a transition period. Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt places harsher restrictions on witches and wizards all over Britain. Though Hogwarts needs no further rebuilding, some restoration is still needed.
With so many changes, the British wizarding community must repair and reform their way of life or be forced back into hiding, only this time it will be from Muggles, if not from each other. Before the Trio and the other seventh and eighth year students can take on adulthood, they have to pass N.E.W.T.s, find places to live, begin apprenticeships for jobs in the future, all while adapting to new responsibilities and newfound freedoms.
As the new graduates head out into the real world, they encounter stricter laws while using magic, challenging situations in internships and apprenticeships, and even more bends and breaks along the road of reconstruction. In this post bellum society, shifts in government, jobs and societal reorganization are expected. But will the unexpected make the world go round or will it make the world stand still?

It's been over a year since Voldemort's defeat and there are new challenges around every corner. Professor Chang disappeared for a week, waking up on the floor of Borgin & Burkes with no idea why. Her only memory - that of a Voice - has made her promise to guide those who 'return' without explanation and soon thereafter, those lost to both wars on both sides have begun 'returning' to life! Now, there are dangerous rumors that Lucius Malfoy has begun following the path of Gellert Grindelwald and gathering like minds to his side. In the Wizarding world of Britain, the laws of nature are being broken, and sides are once again going to be taken in the fight for the future. Whose side are you on?
Year One has been actively in-play for over a year and we are open to active, adult interaction for canon characters. Check out our character list! We have active mods, game-wide arching plots, amazingly great, friendly writers and tons of activity!

"….Voldemort's powerful now. You don't know who his supporters are, you don't know who's working for him and who isn't; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …" Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight. In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards has begun to pull ranks, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. Halloween, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another viscous war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of Harry Potter, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell is off to Albania where he will become a vessel for the weakened Dark Lord, Charlie Weasley and his friends are in their sixth-year at Hogwarts, and the foundation for the future is being paved. They are at a crossroads, the road behind them broken and wilting. The road ahead lies a mystery, which paths will they chose? Who will they become? Only one thing is certain; they must continue on.
